Scott McFarland
Chief Executive Officer
Scott is responsible for carrying out the strategic plans and policies established by the Board of Directors for Western Sierra Medical Clinic. Scott works with his management team to set direction and oversee the day-to-day operations of Miners Family Health Center and its affiliate programs, with a key focus on WSMC mission. Scott obtained his Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology from Long Beach State in 1990, his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 1992, and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1996. While studying for his MBA, Scott worked as a Medical Social Worker at Fremont-Rideout Health Group. Soon after graduation, Scott was promoted to the position of Executive Director at Peach Tree Clinic, where he remained for the next four years. Scott joined WSMC in 2008, and worked to improve care and position Miner's as the largest outpatient healthcare provider in Nevada County. In January 2010, he was named CEO for Western Sierra Medical Clinic. He is a member of Grass Valley Rotary and involved in many community healthcare organizations.
